Delivery-Week Protection for New Vehicles

Your New Car Deserves More Than Factory Paint.

The first 30 days matter. The day you drive off the lot, your paint is as perfect as it will ever be. Every week of unprotected driving — dealer-lot sun, swirl marks from a drive-through car wash, the first rock chip on US-280 — is damage that becomes permanent. We install PPF, ceramic, and ceramic tint in one visit so your car is fully protected before it ever leaves our studio.

The First 30 DaysMatter More Thanthe Next Five Years.

Factory paint leaves the plant at maximum thickness and maximum gloss. From that moment, every exposure subtracts from the baseline. Protection applied at delivery locks in what you paid for. Protection applied 18 months later tries to rebuild it.

01
Factory Paint Is at Its Peak on Day One

Clear coat leaves the factory at roughly 1.8–2.5 mils of thickness. Every swirl from a drive-through wash, every UV-exposed hour on the dealer lot, every unprotected rock chip on US-280 is a subtraction. You can't re-thicken clear coat. You can only preserve what's there.

02
PPF Over Virgin Paint = Permanent Preservation

Paint protection film bonds to the cleanest possible surface when your car is new. No clay-bar decon needed, no polishing stage required — we wash, measure paint thickness, install. The film preserves the original finish underneath indefinitely. Peel it off in 10 years and the paint looks like delivery day.

03
Ceramic Locks the Showroom Look Without Correction

On a used car, we typically add paint correction before coating — a multi-hour polish add-on (Level 1 or Level 2) to remove swirls the previous owner put there. On a new car at 200 miles, there's nothing to correct. You skip the entire correction stage, the coating goes over virgin clear coat, and the gloss you bought is the gloss that gets sealed in.

04
One Visit, Three Systems, Zero Dealer-Lot Wear

Tint, ceramic, and PPF installed in the same visit share the prep stage — one strip wash, one measurement pass, one quality inspection. A customer who tries to schedule the three services separately across three shops loses about 2 weeks of calendar time and 40% more labor cost. We do it all under one climate-controlled roof.

Already own your car? Protection still works — it just starts with a correction stage first. See the ceramic coating page or PPF page for those paths. This page is for owners at the delivery-week window.

What Each System Does
(And What It Doesn't).

PPF and ceramic solve different problems. The combo bundle exists because most new-car buyers want both answers — impact protection and chemical/UV resistance. This table is the honest version.

New-car protection looks different
depending on who's driving.
Here's what delivery-week clients ask for.

Long-Hold Family SUV

A 2024 Toyota Sequoia customer brought us their new vehicle at 200 miles. Plan: keep it 10 years, three kids, daily school drop-off on Moores Mill, weekend runs to Lake Harding. We installed the Signature bundle: full-front PPF, ceramic coating, full-vehicle ceramic tint. The ceramic holds the black paint's depth through Alabama summer UV. The PPF takes the brunt of I-85 debris. Eighteen months in, wash time is 20 minutes and the paint reads new.

First Ceramic / New EV

"She picked up her new M3 on a Friday and brought it to us Monday. Didn't want to drive it until the paint was protected. We prepped, polished, and coated it before she'd put 200 miles on it. Eighteen months later she says it still looks like it just rolled off the transporter — better, actually, because the coating deepens the color in a way the factory clear never did."

Enthusiast / Long-Term Hold

"He runs his C8 at Barber on weekends and wanted delivery-week protection before the first track day. Ultimate bundle: track-pack PPF, Select ceramic, ceramic tint, headlight film. Cleanup after a track day dropped from three hours to twenty minutes. The paint sheds brake dust like it repels it. He's been back every season since."

Lease Protection

A Phenix City client picked up a new Genesis GV70 lease — 36-month term, heavy highway miles up US-280. They went Essential: partial-front PPF (hood leading edge + bumper + mirrors), ceramic coating, front-window tint. The reasoning is lease-return math: PPF pays for itself if it saves one panel repaint at turn-in. Two years in, paint is flawless and the end-of-lease inspection is going to be boring.

New Car Protection FAQ

Should I do PPF before ceramic, or ceramic before PPF?▼
PPF goes on first, always. Ceramic coating then goes over PPF on the panels where film is applied, and over bare paint everywhere else. This gives you a unified hydrophobic finish with maximum chip protection underneath. Doing it the other way (ceramic first) means the PPF adhesive has a harder time bonding — the coating makes the surface too slick.
Does installing protection at your shop void my dealer or manufacturer warranty?▼
No. The vehicle manufacturer warranty covers drivetrain, body, and factory defects — none of which are affected by a protective film or coating applied to the exterior surface. Our protection warranty is a separate, written instrument that covers the installed film or coating itself. The two don't overlap and they don't void each other. If you want it in writing, we'll provide a document confirming the install doesn't touch any warranty-covered system.
Can I drive my new car home before getting protection installed?▼
Yes, and most clients do. The goal is to minimize unprotected miles, not zero them. Driving 30 miles home and parking it under cover is fine. Driving 3,000 miles over a month before installing is where we start seeing the factory finish degrade. Ideal window is the delivery week. If you've already got 2,000 miles on the car, we'll measure paint condition and may recommend a light polish stage before coating — that adds about a day to install time and 15% to cost.
Does new paint need to "cure" before I can apply PPF or ceramic?▼
Most modern factory paint is fully cured before it leaves the plant — the e-coat and clear bake process happens at 250°F+ and the paint is chemically stable by the time it reaches the dealer. Dealer-applied touch-up paint or body shop repaints are different; those need 30–90 days to cure before coating. We verify every vehicle with a paint thickness measurement before install. If we find a repainted panel, we tell you — and we wait on that panel if needed.
What if I already got dealer-installed paint protection?▼
Dealer-sold paint protection is almost always a sprayable wax or synthetic sealant — not real ceramic coating and not paint protection film. It lasts 3–6 months at best. Before we install anything real, we strip the dealer product with an IPA and chemical-safe cleaner, decontaminate the paint, and verify a clean bonding surface. Removing dealer wax takes about 90 minutes and is included in our prep. Don't feel bad about the dealer upsell — it happens on most deliveries. You didn't waste money; you're just upgrading to the real thing.
How long does the full bundle install actually take?▼
Essential: 1–2 days. Signature: 2–4 days. Ultimate: 3–5 days. The range depends on vehicle size, complexity of the PPF cut patterns (exotic cars with unusual bumper shapes take longer), and whether we're adding interior protection. When you book, we give you a hard appointment schedule with drop-off and pickup times, not a vague "sometime that week." If anything pushes the schedule, we call you before we change it.
What's the resale-value impact of documented new-car protection?▼
Measurable. Clean, film-protected, coating-preserved paint sells noticeably higher than uncoated counterparts in the 3–5 year ownership window. The reason is simple: the buyer's pre-purchase inspection pulls up a flawless carfax and finds zero rock chips, zero swirl marks, and documented service records from a Top 40 installer. That's the "this was a garage-kept, taken-care-of car" premium. We hand you the install documentation at pickup.
Can I do protection on a leased vehicle?▼
Yes — and it's a very good lease-return move. Any tier is on the table: Essential or Signature is the math-first fit for a typical 3-year lease, and Ultimate is the right call if you want the best-of-the-best coverage regardless of hold time. Lease-end inspections ding you for paint wear, rock chips, and curb rash — all things PPF and ceramic dramatically reduce. Avoiding even one lease-end repaint or curb-rash fee typically covers the Essential-tier install. PPF is removable and doesn't damage paint when pulled, so there's no concern about turn-in. We quote specifically for your vehicle.
Do the three services really need to be done at the same shop?▼
They don't strictly need to be — but the bundle pricing, the shared prep stage, and the single-point warranty get much messier if three different shops are involved. If the PPF installer cuts the film short on a bumper and the ceramic shop coats over the exposed edge, which shop owns the warranty claim? We do all three in-house so the answer is always "we do." One invoice, one warranty, one QC pass.
What's not covered by the bundle?▼
The bundle covers exterior paint, glass (via tint), and interior ceramic on Ultimate. It doesn't cover collision damage, insurance-claim repaint work, aftermarket body kit installation, or wheel repair. For those, we refer to a local body shop we trust. Our warranty page has the full scope and exclusions in writing.
